In July 2012 there will be a new weekend-workshop on filmmusic focusing on “dramaturgical composition” and “big orchestration”. In addition, the workflow of an entire musical accompaniment for a blockbuster movie film looks behind the scenes from the initial canvassing until the premiere and informs about self-controlling of one’s own music and about being a one-man company. The dates for this workshop will be fixed by early June.

With the upgrade of the new BAM Music Studios, all participants can actively experience how a new orchestral filmmusic evolves. The work is done on a new 12 Core Mac with the latest software, audio and sound technology.

A new panel with film composer Marcel Barsotti is scheduled to take place at this year’s 8th edition of Soundtrack_Cologne (15-18 Nov 2012 in Cologne).

In the city of Halle in the frame of the film music Festival ”Film Music Days Saxony-Anhalt” (26 - 27 Oct 2012) Marcel Barsotti will take part in a panel discussion about his latest movie project “Jesus loves me”. Further, one of his film music suites is to be performed. www.filmmusiktage.de

Two new “Love at the Fjord” movies entitled “Farewell to Hannah” and “Suction of the tides”, just as the previous ones directed by Jorg Grünler, premiere in fall in the German ARD television programs.

The partly minimalistic score is added up by solo instrument sequences on the guitar, dobro, accordion, melodica, and drums, which have all been performed by Barsotti himself. The solo violin is played by the renown film music composer Fabian Römer. Further “Fjord movies” are planned, which are entirely shot on original sets in Norway.

Founded in March 2012 together with partner Stefan Broedner, Marcel Barsotti launched his new company company RAVENRED MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT LTD. It is a production company, which licenses music & songs worldwide for film and television.

On 20 May 2012 the Ersten Bayerischen Filmfoniker orchestra perform Barsotti’s film music suite on the movie “Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel” (Rudy, the Racing Pig) at the famous “Mathäser Kino” movie palace in Munich.
